Four people were killed and seven others wounded when a Russian drone strike tore through a dairy production facility on the outskirts of Kyiv. The attack, which decimated an administrative building and ruined a fleet of vehicles, struck a plant that supplied baby food and yogurt to the local market.
Regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk confirmed the casualties, detailing the destruction via Telegram. The facility served as a vital node in the regional food supply chain, processing staples essential for daily consumption. Emergency crews worked through the wreckage of the administrative wing, where the impact was most severe. In the wake of the strike, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy issued a renewed appeal for Western partners to bolster Ukraine’s air defense capabilities. He tied the protection of civilian infrastructure directly to the broader economic struggle, arguing that shielding such facilities is necessary to prevent further loss of life and maintain essential services as the conflict continues.
