Haryana Chief Minister Saini mandates grassroots rollout of Viksit Bharat

Politics serves as a vehicle for public service rather than a pursuit of power, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini declared after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He vowed to translate the Prime Minister’s vision for a developed nation into a localized mission reaching every village across the state.

Saini, speaking at a Saturday press conference, outlined a strategy to bridge the gap between government administration and the electorate. He emphasized that the goal of a Viksit Bharat—a developed India—must evolve from a national policy into a personal resolve for every farmer, youth, and family in Haryana. To achieve this, the Chief Minister announced that ministers and legislators will shift their focus toward direct engagement, moving away from office-based governance to address local problems through persistent field interaction.

Under this initiative, officials will conduct regular meetings in 30 to 35 villages within each Assembly constituency. These sessions are intended to integrate cleanliness drives with informal community discussions, known as tiffin meetings, to foster dialogue. Saini stressed that government schemes must transition into public campaigns fueled by community participation, ensuring that the administration remains physically present and responsive to the needs of the population. By aligning state-level efforts with the Prime Minister's mandate, the government aims to ensure that the development agenda becomes a shared responsibility rather than a top-down mandate.
