YSRCP mobilizes legal task forces for upcoming local polls

The directive mandates a continuous legal presence for candidates, covering everything from the initial filing of nomination papers to the final counting of votes.

Addressing a state-wide Zoom conference, Reddy tasked the legal team with creating district-level task forces to counter potential harassment and illegal cases attributed to the Chandrababu government. The party plans to operate a central legal war room, supported by teams of both seasoned attorneys and young legal professionals stationed in sensitive constituencies. These units are instructed to coordinate directly with local party leadership to address procedural obstacles before they escalate.

Former MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy emphasized that legal support must extend to the foundational stages of the campaign, including securing caste certificates, police clearances, and essential no-dues documentation. The party hierarchy expects these teams to monitor Returning Officers closely and act immediately against any attempts to obstruct candidate nominations. General Secretary Lella Appi Reddy underscored the need for a streamlined reporting process, ensuring that any election-related grievances are escalated from the mandal level to the state office without delay.
