The proposed protest has garnered broad support from the Nationalist Congress Party, Congress, the Left parties, and the Shetkari Kamgar Paksha. According to Raut, the initial route was adjusted to better accommodate participants, reflecting a growing alignment among opposition ranks. He characterized the mobilization as a significant pushback against the current electoral oversight, noting that recent public displays of discontent have signaled a shift in the political climate.
Beyond the protest, Raut speculated on larger political realignments, suggesting potential shifts within the BJP leadership by January. He also waded into local controversy, demanding deeper investigations into the Purnekar murder case and leveling accusations against members of the Eknath Shinde faction. On the electoral front, opposition partners are currently navigating seat-sharing negotiations for upcoming races. Raut acknowledged that while consensus remains the goal, friendly contests may emerge in disputed constituencies like Amravati and Marathwada if negotiations stall. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi echoed the sentiment of defiance, asserting that the opposition remains undeterred by police intervention and that the national political landscape is approaching a turning point.
