CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke is expected at the Mumbai venue to lead the charge against the Election Commission. Tensions have escalated following the imposition of Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita in the national capital, where authorities denied permission for demonstrations. CJP spokesperson Saurav Das labeled the Commissioner a "traitor," calling on Mumbaikars to join the movement, drawing parallels to previous youth-led agitations against cabinet ministers.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dismissed the dissent as a manufactured crisis. He stated that the Election Commission has already debunked the claims of electoral misconduct during a recent press conference. Despite the official rejection of these allegations, activists insist that the current voter revision process lacks transparency, fueling a standoff that spans from the Shivaji Park site to the streets of Delhi.
