iD Fresh CEO Takes Live Polygraph Test at IIMBue Conclave

Strapped to a polygraph machine before an audience of 1,000 business leaders at IIMBue, iD Fresh Food CEO PC Musthafa subjected his brand’s integrity to a public lie detector test. The unconventional session at the IIM Bangalore alumni event aimed to prove the company’s claims regarding clean-label production and transparency.

Hosted by entrepreneur Deepu Chandran, the 30-minute interrogation forced Musthafa to address pointed inquiries about business decisions and the company's long-standing commitment to preservative-free manufacturing. While acknowledging a degree of personal nervousness, the CEO asserted that his confidence remained unshaken because the brand’s internal values align with its public marketing. Musthafa noted that he would be comfortable putting any member of his team through the same scrutiny, suggesting that the exercise was a natural extension of the company's ethos.

Founded in 2005, the Bengaluru-based company has built its market presence on the promise of fresh, chemical-free, ready-to-cook staples like idly batter and parotas. By opting for a high-stakes, real-time verification process rather than traditional marketing, iD Fresh attempted to bridge the gap between corporate claims and consumer skepticism. The event concluded with the company reinforcing its position as a pioneer in the clean-label sector, currently operating across India, the UAE, the USA, and the UK.
