The Azzawiya Oil Company has since instructed personnel to avoid transit routes near the combat zones.

Footage circulating on local channels depicted plumes of black smoke and the sounds of heavy weaponry echoing through the streets. Surman Mayor Mohamed Abu Snina characterized the humanitarian impact as severe, noting that relative calm only returned following the intervention of a neutral force.
