Dimple Yadav Challenges Government Accountability Amid Parliament Unrest

The atmosphere in Parliament remains volatile, with the Rajya Sabha facing repeated adjournments. Opposition leaders, led by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, are pushing for transparency concerning the alleged theft of donations intended for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Yadav emphasized that while the opposition intends to maintain its oversight role, the government must reciprocate by engaging in substantive debate rather than avoiding scrutiny.

In Uttar Pradesh, where the state Assembly is currently in its Monsoon Session, the standoff has intensified. Speaker Satish Mahana expressed frustration, noting that while he had agreed to allow discussions on the donation controversy, persistent disruptions prevented the Question Hour from proceeding. Conversely, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya labeled the opposition's tactics as irresponsible, insisting the government remains prepared to address legitimate inquiries through established procedures.

Adding to the political friction, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath dismissed the allegations regarding the Ram Temple funds. Citing an initial report from a Special Investigation Team, he stated that no saints or sadhus were implicated in any embezzlement. He condemned the Samajwadi Party’s parliamentary conduct, characterizing their approach as undemocratic and an obstruction to the state's legislative interests.
