NDA coalition set for weekly strategy session amid opposition pressure

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance will gather Tuesday morning at the Parliament Library Building for its recurring 'Mangal Milan' meeting. The session brings together coalition lawmakers to coordinate legislative priorities, even as the government faces mounting demands for accountability from opposition leaders regarding recent domestic controversies.

The meeting, scheduled for 9:30 AM at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium, continues a series of internal briefings aimed at aligning the coalition’s agenda. Previous sessions featured high-level policy presentations, including discussions on India's recent Free Trade Agreements and development roadmaps for the fisheries sector. Key cabinet members, including Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, remain central figures in these ongoing dialogues.

Simultaneously, the political atmosphere in the capital has tightened. Congress president and Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge is intensifying pressure on the administration, specifically demanding that the Home Minister address the use of force against protesters during a July 20 march. Beyond the policing controversy, the opposition has leveled allegations regarding the mismanagement of donations at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. With the INDIA bloc staging protests within the Parliament complex, the government faces a dual challenge: maintaining coalition cohesion during their weekly meetings while navigating an increasingly aggressive parliamentary opposition.
