Yadav claimed the incident was a targeted assassination attempt, alleging that a man armed with a knife had infiltrated the event. He stated that his supporters apprehended the individual and handed him over to the police, citing previous death threats and a purported 51 lakh rupee bounty placed on his head by detractors.
